The Newport 27S ... was designed by C and C Designing group and traces her lineage to the Canada Cup Contenders. Splendid looking and swift the Newport 27-S has a long waterline, low wetted surface, minimum drag hull configu-ration and a high ballast displacement ratio. She now has a new high aspect ratio rudder.

The Newport 27-S is built by the hand lay-up foam core and fiberglass lamination method. The semi flush deck offers a wide uncluttered deck. The self bailing cockpit is comfortable and dry with clear visibility for easy single handed sailing. Other features a sailor will appreciate are: stainless steel rudder shaft and rigging, deluxe traveler bar, strong T-bar Genoa track, hard anodized bow fitting and gunwale caps, Coast Guard ventilation and first class hardware.

The layout offers sleeping for six with two double berths a single and optional quarter berth.

There is a full length settee on each side of the main cabin and bulkhead mounted table that folds down to serve four people. Lively new colors in fabric upholstery and a soft headliner trimmed in wood lend a warm atmosphere. Wood trim is used generously throughout with sea sailing and solid wood faced drawers
